HISTORY

Cherry River Gospel Chapel was established as a result of Daily Vacation Bible School undertaken in 1940’s. Some Emmaus Bible School students, and others, came to the area with the Gospel and many adults and children accepted the Lord. In the summer of 1950, wanting to acquire their own meeting place, they purchased a corner lot near the river.

An old lumber camp was dismantled and many enthusiastic volunteers built a church from the recovered timber.
The Chapel opened in January 1951.
